Penang, Malaysia

I travelled to Penang on my own. I know it may sound a little bit absurd as some people don’t like travelling alone, or don’t want to be on their own. I am an adventurer. I like to try out things by myself, and when I am alone, I think more, I wander and I wonder…
First, it was a rough long bus ride from Kuala Lumpur because I travelled during Hari Raya. The usual 5 hour bus ride became 12 hours but that was fine. I have been surprisingly patient.

Most of the shops are actually closed so there’s nothing much I could say but I wandered around places. It is amazingly peaceful and quite because of the holiday season. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and had fun. Check out the photos below.

Penang is amazing!

The view from the hotel. I stayed at Georgetown Hotel Penang.

Night view from the hotel.

Just as the sun is setting.

They say you have never been to Penang if you have not been to Penang Hill.

They have a train that goes up the hill.

This is an Indian Hindu Temple you will see on top, side by side to a mosque (below).

A picture is so necessary.

Try the boogy ride and you will have a guided tour of Penang Hill.

That one moment of pondering..

The journey will not be complete without my jumpshot!

Try a warm breakfast at David Brown's cafe, it is right on top of the hill where you can see a nice view of Penang!

Coffee anyone?

Travelling alone is not that bad.

I ventured to walk in the City. This is what they call the Komtar. Komtar Tower, or Menara Komtar Complex is Penang's tallest building and the sixth tallest building in Malaysia located in the heart of George Town, dominating the island's skyline. KOMTAR is an acronym for Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak.\

More walking. Trust me, it's fun! Most of the things to see in Georgetown are walking distance from each other.

This is in Gurney Drive. There are a lot of shops and malls here.
