Seri Puteri Condominium, Cheras (New Place!)

Being an expatriate, there is always this moment when you have to move places because of a) you don’t like the people you live with, b) the rental is expensive, c) you need a place nearer to work and it can also be d) any other reasons outside your control. For me, it was C). I used to work in Bukit Jalil but our company decided to buy a new building and moved to Bukit Bintang and since I don’t drive, I need to find a place near the LRT station. Fortunately, I found this place with my housemates, Julie and Josie. The Cheras LRT is right in front of the condominium, the bus U44 stops right near the condominium and there are several restaurants near the place. There’s alo 7-11 and 99 Speed Mart grocery shop at walking distance.

The rental is MYR 1800 for 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms. Yes, each of the room has an attached bathroom. The place is quite huge and it is new! MYR 1800 is with an empty unit, only equipped with lights, ceiling fan and shower water heater. We have signed a 2 year contract on this unit and hopefully, it goes well.

Port Dickson, Malaysia

June is my Mom’s birthday month! So I decided to book her first ever airplane ticket to Malaysia so she can see where I live here, how I live and of course, tour her around some places in Malaysia.

The nearest beach from Kuala Lumpur is Port Dickson.

Port Dickson, or PD to locals, is a beach and holiday destination situated about 32 km from Seremban and 90 km from Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the state of Negeri Sembilan in Peninsular Malaysia.

We rented a taxi to take us there. I was with my Mom, my uncle and my friend, Julie. We paid him 300 MYR for a roundtrip ride (KL to PD, and back).

We stayed at the Avilion Hotel, as recommended by a friend, I chose the Water Chalets. It was amazing. The rooms are situated right above the sea so when we slept during the night, we can hear the waves of the ocean! It was fantastic experience! We also tried water sports, I do not know what it’s called but I’ll show you. Take a look at the photos below:

Nice, clean beach!

My jumpshot.

Us, ready to leave this fantastic place!

 We tried  some water activities!

Cherating, Malaysia

Cherating is a beach town in Pahang, Malaysia, located about 47 km north of Kuantan. It is the location of Asia’s first Club Mediterranee. Cherating also houses a cultural village and a turtle sanctuary.

The first time I went to Cherating is with Mala, and work colleagues. It was a team  outing. Mala took her son with her, Shaqeel. We stayed at Suria Cherating Beach Resort - the hotel has its own private beach. If you want to go drinking, I am sorry but this hotel does not offer that. It's a family oriented hotel, and they serve halal food only.

I love the beach here. So clean and untouched, peaceful and quite.

This is the view of the beach from the hotel.

The walk to the beach.

The great panoramic view of the beach..

No one's here...

Lovely view of the sea.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

This guide offers tours in Cherating (mangrove tour in a boat), I found his contact number online: Hafiz 017 978 9256 / 09 581 9126 (I do not know him personally, I tried to arrange for a tour when I was there but due to limited time, I was not able to go).

Technology Park, Bukit Jalil, Malaysia

Technology Park Malaysia is where our office was based when I first came here in 2011. In 2013, we moved to Bukit Bintang area because the business is growing and we needed more space. Also, KL area is more convenient. But on 22nd May, 2014, I was sent to attend a training back here so I thought I might as well take a photo because this may be the last time I'll be here! They will move to Puchong before end of this year. Uh, well. Here goes my last memoirs of TPM, Bukit Jalil.

Restaurant Hadramawt Palace, Bukit Bintang

Restaurant Hadramawt Palace is situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city in Jalan bukit bintang, a few meters away from our office. It serves quality Yemeni and Arabic cooked meals. This was something different from what I eat but I told myself, "why not?" It was worth a try. The food was unique and great. I ate here with my trainees during that time, Benny, Josie and Keith. We had fun and groupies!

Singapore

Julie was working in Singapore last year and I went there to visit her. It was a short trip. 3 days and 2 nights and we only managed to see some of the sights but it was still worth it.
